Adding assets to GpsGate
Configure your tracker to report to GpsGate
The first step is to configure your tracker to forward the data to the GpsGate platform.

Add the asset to an application
The second step is to add the asset to an application. There are multiple ways of doing this depending on your current situation:
I. The first asset with the Guide
If it's the first asset you add to your application, you will be prompted by the Guide to choose an option.
Follow this article to install your first device in GpsGate with the new Guide inside the product.
II. Adding more assets via the Guide shortcut
If you want to access the Shortcut again to set up another asset, you can access them via our Guide.
III. Connecting your asset from the Vehicle Panel:
If you want to add your second asset (or if you prefer to skip the Guide), follow these steps:
1. Click on + Asset
2. And follow the guidance presented in this article from step 2.
IV. Create Custom Asset:
1. Choose 'Custom Asset' from the + Asset drop-down menu in the Vehicle panel.
2. Choose the device type: Device
3. Select your device model from the list:
4. Enter the IMEI number or select it from the list.
The asset not yet reporting
If you selected a tracker brand that is not yet reporting to the platform (for instance, if you didn't follow step 1 above), in that case, you have to enter the Device ID / IMEI number manually:

If your device is connected to the platform, when selecting the right model, you will see the available device's connection/s.
Select the device from the list. Use the device ID or IMEI as a reference:
Note: phone number is an optional parameter. Necessary if you will use it to send SMS commands to the devices from the GpsGate platform. Read more about this possibility here.
5. Click on Save.
Congratulations! You've now added a new device to the platform!
