Fleet app - Add asset to GpsGate

Adding tracker assets to the GpsGate platform is an essential step for effective fleet management and asset tracking. The Fleet Mobile app streamlines this process, offering a simple way to integrate new tracker assets into GpsGate.

This guide provides a detailed walkthrough of each step required to successfully add and configure your assets on the platform, ensuring seamless tracking and management. Follow along to get your trackers up and running quickly and efficiently.

Steps to be followed: 

1. Open the Fleet app and log in as an Administrator.

2. Tap on the Main Menu and choose Add Asset

3. Assign a name to your asset and select the specific hardware tracker type.

4. Complete the required device details.

5. In the next screen, you'll configure the tracker by sending two messages. Start by tapping SMS: Set Tracker Identity.

6. The app will redirect you to your phone’s messaging interface to send the command. Send this message.

Note: Sending this SMS may result in additional charges from your service provider.

7. Once the first SMS is sent, return to the app and select the second SMS to be sent.

8. Wait for the tracker’s response.

The tracker is now connected

After these steps, your device will be added to GpsGate. Open the Fleet app to confirm the device connection status.
