Fleet app - Tracker
The Fleet app includes an integrated tracker. It's now easier than ever to experience the power of the GpsGate platform right from your mobile device. With real-time updates on your location, speed, and trip history, everything you need is right at your fingertips.
In this article, we’ll guide you through the simple steps to activate the tracker and start collecting detailed trip data, making fleet tracking smoother and more accessible than ever.
How to enable:
The following steps show how to enable tracking on an iPhone.
- Download the latest Fleet app version.
- Tap More in the bottom navigation and select Track this phone.
3. On the Turn on your location settings in Fleet screen, tap Go to Settings.
4. In your phone’s settings, select Location, then select Always. Return to the Fleet app.
5. On the Enable Motion & Fitness access screen, tap Request permission. Allow access when prompted.
6. Once the required permissions are granted, tracking starts automatically. The app displays your phone’s asset on the map, together with its name, status, address and distance driven today.
Viewing tracker information
Tap View more to open the phone’s asset details.
Under Status → Mapped fields, you can view the phone’s Battery level and Charging status.
Note:
The Tracker integrated into the Fleet app is not a simulator; therefore, it will be considered a billable unit/asset.
