Fleet app: Settings

The Fleet app allows users to personalize their experience by adjusting various settings. From language preferences to measurement units and card layouts, these customizations make it easier to align the app with your workflow. Below is an explanation of each section and its available options.

Accessing Settings:

1. Open the Fleet app and tap the hamburger menu in the top-left corner.
2. In the main menu, you’ll find the Settings option located just below your username.

Localization

In the Localization section, you can set your preferred language and measurement units.

Language:

You can select the language you want to use in the Fleet app. Only languages enabled for your account (via privileges and plugins) will be available. Once saved, the chosen language is automatically applied to both the Fleet app and your web version of the application.

Measurements:

Similarly, you can change measurement units (e.g., kilometers vs. miles). Your selection will automatically sync with the web version of the application.

Edit Card Layout

The Edit Card Layout menu allows you to customize how asset cards appear in the app:

Identifier: Choose whether the primary label is the Name or Username of the asset.

Detail: Display details such as Last Seen, Address, or Speed.

Additional Details: Add further information in the same way as the Detail field.

Variable Detail: Select a data type of your choice for added flexibility.

At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see a draft preview of how the asset card will appear with your selected settings.

Online Status Timeout (Seconds)

This section determines when an asset is marked as offline or pending.

By default, the timeout is set to 600 seconds (10 minutes).

You can adjust this value, and the change will also be reflected in the web version of the application.

System Info

The System Info section provides platform and application details such as:

The Fleet app version or platform version, the URL you are using and some other data.

This section does not have editable options, but it is useful when contacting support, as they may request these details to assist you.

Logout

At the bottom of the menu, you will find the option to log out of the Fleet app
