Fleet app: Manage users
The Fleet app provides a convenient overview of all users associated with your current application. This allows for easy management and ensures you have a clear understanding of who has access.
Within the Manage Users section of the Fleet app, you'll find a comprehensive list of all individuals connected to this specific application instance. However, it's important to note the distinction in editing capabilities based on user roles.
Administrator Accounts: For security reasons, administrator accounts cannot be edited only by the user itself.
Operator Accounts: Operators, on the other hand, can be managed directly within the Fleet app. This allows for quick and easy modifications to their profiles.
Editing Operator Details:
Within the Fleet app, you have the ability to modify certain details of operator accounts. Specifically, you can:
- Change the Name: Update the displayed name of the operator as needed.
- Save User: Once you've made the necessary changes, simply tap the "Save user" button to apply them.
- Delete User: If a user no longer requires access, you can easily remove their account by selecting the delete option.
User Avatars: Powered by the Web Version
Each user within the Fleet app can have a personal picture avatar associated with their profile. These avatars are not uploaded directly within the Fleet app but are sourced from the web version of GpsGate.
How to Set or Change a User's Avatar:
To set or update a user's profile picture that will then be displayed in the Fleet app, follow these simple steps within the web version of the application:
- Login to the web version of the application.
- Open the Main Menu > Admin > Manage Users.
- Select the user, navigate to Details, and upload an image.
Once an image is uploaded via the web version, it will automatically be displayed as the user's avatar within the Manage Users section of the Fleet app. This provides a visual identifier for each user, enhancing the overall user management experience.
