Creating widgets in Dashboard

Bring your fleet data to life with Widgets in Dashboard. Widgets are interactive elements that reflect your Metrics. Visualize performance over time, identify KPIs, and drill down to view event details.

Once you have created Metrics within the Dashboard feature, you are ready to create Widgets. Below, we'll guide you on how to create a new Widget.

Creating a new Widget:

1. Press the button Screenshot 2023-09-07 at 14.29.03.png from the right-hand side of the Dashboard panel.

2. Fill in the Widget display name and select the Metric.

If you haven't created a Metric first, click "Create new". Find more details about Metrics here.

Line charts, bar charts, and pie charts are used to display metrics over time or to compare different metrics.

Based on the Metric Type, Widgets can be configured in 3 ways:

Metric Type  Widget Type  Time

Distribution

Pie chart

Time span
Frequency

Histogram and Line Chart

Time span and Resolution

4. Choose the Widget type and set the Time span ( /Resolution)

5. Save the Widget.

Initially, the Widget data will be empty:

Metrics will start collecting data at the time of creation. After a few minutes of an active metric, data will become available.

For example, the metric was created on September 19, 2023, and has been active for 2 days. Its current status is "Active." This means that the data will reflect in Widgets from the day it was created.
