Wireless broadband router supporting TAIP and NMEA
This guide shows how to set up broadband routers like Cradlepoint, Motorola, Cisco, etc. that sends position data to GpsGate using TAIP or NMEA protocols.
Note! NMEA the routers need a static IP.
TAIP Protocol
Plugin installation
1. Login to Site Admin
2. Go to Plugins > Get more plugins.
3. Install Trimble plugin.
Add a device in the application
1. Follow this guide to add devices.
2. Select the device TAIP Generic Device
3. Fill in the Vehicle ID of the tracker.
4. Click on Save.
Configure your device to send data to your servers public IP port 8000. You find the public IP in Site Admin under Devices.
Smartpipe devices (NMEA Protocol)
Plugin installation
1. Log in to Site Admin.
2. Go to Plugins > Get more plugins.
3. Install SmartPipe plugin.
How to add a device in the application
1. Follow this guide to add devices.
2. Select the device SmartPipe Static IP.
3. Fill in the Static IP of the tracker.
4. Click Save.
Configure your device to send data to your servers public IP port 30176. You find the public IP in Site Admin under Devices.
Please note that each device must have a unique Static IP since there is no other ID in the data sent to the server!
