Could not restart the NMEA service error

Problem

Could not restart the NMEA service: could not send restarter command to Franson.SysMonitor.Service: Unable to read data from the transport connection: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has fail

Solution

1. Stop all listeners with connected devices under Site Admin › Devices › Listeners (uncheck the Active box )

2. Stop and then Start the Service.(On the server from Windows Services)
3. Try updating your plugins again.

After the update has completed remember to start the listeners under Devices again.
