ORBCOMM DMR/DAP-XML setup

ORBCOMM's Data Management Router (DMR) and Data Access Point (DAP) with XML support are components of their data integration framework.

• DMR: Acts as a gateway that processes and routes data between ORBCOMM devices and enterprise systems.

• DAP-XML: Provides an interface that formats data into XML, facilitating integration with various applications and platforms.

This setup allows for efficient data handling and seamless integration of ORBCOMM's satellite and cellular data into business operations.

Please read and follow the initial guide for the ORBCOMM device setup, then continue with this guide. 

How to set up in GpsGate : 

1. Log in to Site Admin (Legacy)

2. Go to Devices → ORBCOMM.

3. Click New.

4. Enter Username and Password and select DAP or ASPI-XML

5. If necessary due to your ORBCOMM setup, add the Subaccount ID; otherwise, leave it blank.

6. Save.

7. Click Start.

How to add an asset to the application

1. Log in to your application
2. Click  +Asset in the Assets panel
3. Select Device hardware → ORBCOMM Standard.
4. Fill in the Terminal ID
5. Enter a Username and a Display Name for this asset.
6. Save the setup.
