Windy Map Installation

This guide describes how to enable the use of Windy map in your GpsGate application.

Requisites

This map layer works under Native Maps. You need to have it activated first before using Windy maps.

Install

1. Log in to Site Admin (legacy).
2. Go to the Plugins tab.
3. Under the My Plugins tab, make sure all plugins are up-to-date.
4. Select the Beta repository.
5. Install Windy.

Setup

1. Enter your application and go to Privileges and Plugins.
2. Go to Site Admin → Applications → Manage Applications → Your application.
3. Enable Windy under Privilege & plugins → Maps → UseMapPlugin.
   
   
4. Save the application
5. Refresh the page
6. After the page reloads, you can find the Site admin → maps → Windy menu 
7. Input your Windy API KEY on the popup window and save it. 
   Don't have a key? Register for a key at https://api.windy.com/map-forecast
   
   
8. Refresh the page.
9. Select Native Maps as your map choice.
10. Now you can see the Windy map working on the application.
    
    

Windy Map Features

Windy and its sub-layers can then be toggled in the map layers menu. The Windy picker tool shows up in the map toolbar shaped as the Windy logo.
