Power settings for Android Tracker

The Tracker app uses resources that depend on the settings of your Android OS.

If you experience problems such as inaccurate tracking, try the options described in this guide.

The settings described in this guide have been set on an Android 11 device. Earlier versions of Android might have a different way to configure these settings.

Tracker app: Disable Power Saving

The first thing we need to do is to use the option Disable Power Saving in the Android Tracker App to avoid the app to standby when the screen is off or the phone is in standby mode.

This option though, is an in-app setting and it will be overridden by Android OS if you don't have the additional settings configured:

Android Settings

Check the following settings in your phone configuration:

Battery Saver

If you're using the Battery Saver, it's possible that the Tracker app is going to be shut down to avoid battery drainage.

To avoid this, follow these steps:

1. Go to your phone's Settings > Battery

3. Make sure Battery Saver is off.

Battery optimization

Each application has its own battery configuration/optimization settings.

Check the following options in order to make sure the Tracker app is not affected.

1. Go to your phone's Settings > Apps & notifications

2. Select All apps
