WatchDog server monitoring service
The GpsGate WatchDog service will monitor your platform and send you an SMS or email when something is detected to be wrong. For example, if the server goes offline or there are performance problems, database problems, a type of network problem, etc. With WatchDog, you can trust that your platform is running fine at all times. If it needs attention, you are notified immediately.
Here are some conditions that can be detected:
- Server offline
- Performance problems
- Protocol problems
- Database problems
- Number of trackers online goes under a certain limit
- SMS and email sending issues
How do I get the WatchDog service?
GpsGate Cloud and GpsGate On-site (our pay-as-you-go pricing models)
GpsGate Cloud: the service is included and all customers are actively monitored.
GpsGate On-site: the service is included. You must contact support to set up monitoring.
For On-site customers, the WatchDog service runs on GpsGate servers and your server connects to it to be monitored.
*Note: if you own GpsGate legacy licenses, the service is included IF you have 25+ licenses and a valid updates and support agreement. You must contact support to set up monitoring. For legacy customers, the WatchDog service runs on GpsGate and your server connects to it to be monitored.
