GpsGate AI: Helping you find your way forward

GpsGate AI is built into the platform to help you find information, understand features and guide you through tasks when you are unsure where to go next. It helps you explore the platform and move forward more without leaving your workflow.

The AI uses your prompts to guide its response, which means clearer questions will lead to more relevant and useful answers.

It’s currently available for GpsGate Cloud applications with 25 assets or less.

AI chat assistant

The AI chat assistant provides guidance directly inside of GpsGate. It can help you explore fleet activity, understand platform features, and pull information from our knowledge base.

Access AI chat assistant

1. Log in to your GpsGate application
2. Locate the AI icon in the top-right corner of the platform
3. Click the AI icon to open the chat panel
4. Select one of the suggested prompts or write your own queries. The better the prompt, the better the answer. Here are some examples:
   
   Helping you find a way forward:
   How can I trigger an SOS alarm?
   How do I create an event rule?
   
   Explore your fleet data:
   Did 'ABC123' visit Arlanda Airport yesterday?
   What was the ratio of driving vs. stand still for 'ABC123' yesterday?
   Show me where 'ABC123' drove yesterday
    

Device Mapper scripting AI

AI Scripting in GpsGate helps you understand and work with scripting inside Device Mappers. It can explain scripts, provide guidance, and help you get started with scripting workflows directly inside the script editor.

Access Device Mapper scripting AI

1. Go to Main Menu > Admin > Device Mappers
2. Select your device mapper
3. Open the Scripts tab
4. Click Add Script
5. Select an output variable
6. Open the Script Editor
7. Use the AI panel on the left side of the editor

The AI panel includes suggested prompts to help you get started quickly, such as:

• Explain what this script does
• How do I read a field value?

Event Rule Scripting AI

This AI helps you understand and work with scripting inside Event Rules. It can provide guidance, explain scripting logic, and help you create or understand event rule expressions directly inside the script editor.

Access Event Rule scripting AI

1. Go to Main Menu > Admin > Event Rules
2. Click Add Custom Event Rule
3. Enter the rule name and description
4. Select who the rule applies to
5. Configure the schedule rule activity section
6. Under Expressions, select Script
7. Click Edit on the right side
8. Use the AI panel on the left side of the Script Editor

The assistant can explain generated scripts and provide script overviews directly inside the editor. You can start by selecting one of the suggested prompts or by entering your own question in the AI panel.
