Application Expiry Date
The Application Expiry Date feature is designed to restrict login access for both administrators and operators after a specified date. This can be particularly helpful in cases such as delayed or incomplete payments from clients.
What Happens When an Application Expires?
Login Access Blocked: After the expiry date passes, administrators and operators associated with the application will no longer be able to log into the platform.
Asset Reporting Continues: Despite the login restriction, all assets assigned to the application will continue to report data as usual.
Historical Data Maintained: All historical tracking data will still be collected and retained.
Billing Continues: The system will continue billing for the fleet unless further action is taken.
How to set an application as expired:
1. Navigate to Manage applications
2. Under the Application Property, enable the Expire date and select a date.
As result, it can be seen the expire date in the manage application list:
How to Fully Stop Tracking and Billing
If you wish to completely stop asset tracking and avoid further billing:
Option 1: Remove Assets from the role _Unit.
This will disconnect the assets from the billing structure while preserving the application itself.
Option 2: Delete the Application
This action will stop all tracking and billing activities.
⚠️ Warning: Once an application is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
Important Notes
The expiry date does not affect data collection—it only limits access to the platform.
Consider the implications of deleting an application, especially if you need access to historical data later.
