Variable notifier: save the driver name in vehicle's history

Using Variable Notifiers you can save which Driver was driving your vehicle at a specific moment in time and save this information into your vehicle's tracking history. This article describes how to achieve this.

Setup

1. Follow the guide How to add a Driver to GpsGate.

2. Optional: add a variable name suitable to save the Driver Name (eg. DriverName).

3. Modify your Driver login Event Rule and add the Variable option as shown in the image.

Now every time a Driver event happens, it will be saved in the vehicle's history as in the following example:
