Closest Vehicle Tool

The Closest Vehicle tool makes it quick and easy to find fleet vehicles on the map. The tool helps operators plan the most efficient routes for vehicle assignments, considering vehicle availability and proximity to destinations. This reduces travel time, fuel consumption, and overall operational costs.

To install this feature, update GpsGate to the latest monthly release. No additional privileges are needed to use this function.

1. Within an application, right-click on any point on the map.

2. A pop-up window listing the 5 closest vehicles will appear. You'll see vehicles' distances from the point you chose on the map. The list of auto-defaults to active fleet vehicles. To include parked and offline vehicles, check the box in the lower lefthand corner of the window.

3. Select a vehicle from the list to view its location on the map. From there, you can view vehicle tags and details that you have assigned, like vehicle type, fuel level, etc. You are now ready to dispatch the driver to the next job.
