Troubleshooting: Dashboard display negative distance values

Problem

The Dashboard displays negative values. This issue happens at midnight when the daily distance reading is reset until the vehicle travels a few kilometers.

Explanation

The reason for negative values in Dashboard is that there is an odometer correction made during midnight when data gets reprocessed at midnight schedule to speed up reports execution during the day.

You only get this problem when you use GPS distance as Odometer.

This issue is not affected by devices using hardware odometer.

Solution

Change your odometer setting from GPS distance to OdometerAcc in the Device Mapper.
