APRS how to connect

First, install the "APRS Plugin"

1. Log in to "SiteAdmin"
2. Go to "Plugins"
3. Click on "Get More Plugins".
4. Install "APRS"

Start AprsMessageProvider

5. Go to "SiteAdmin -> Service -> Providers"
6. Select "AprsMessageProvider" in the dropdown.
7. Enter a Name. E.g. "APRS".
8. Click Save
9. Click "Start" for the provider you added.

Register APRS device in VehicleTrackler

1. Log in to your Vehicle Tracker application
2. Click "Add new User"
3. Select "Device" in "User Type" drop-down. Click Next.
3. Enter a "username" and a "Name", which is the name displayed on the map and in the list. Click "Next".
4. Click Next for Roles.
5. Click Next for Tags.
6. Select Device Type to "APRS".
7. Fill in the "Call sign" of the tracker.
8. Click Save.

Go to "Map View".

Send any APRS data to port 10030 (UDP) on your server.

If you have your APRS gateway connected to a serial port, use GpsGate Splitter to forward data from the serial port to GpsGate Server.

1. Open the Settings Dialog
2. Set the Input to the COM port to which your APRS gateway is connected.
3. Go to the "Output" tab
4. Add a "UDP Sender".
5. Enter your server address as "Receiving address" and 10030 as "Receiving Port".
6. Click "Add". Then "Save".
