Add a device from SiteAdmin for an application
To create a device user, you can use the traditional method or, if your device is already connected to the server and reporting data, you can use this connection to create a user for an application.
Creating a device user from Site Admin
1. Go to Site Admin > Devices > Listeners
2. Click on the Unknown button
3. Enter the following information:
Device Type Instance: the device brand and model
Application: the application where this device will be registered to
Username: the username of the device (the username should be unique on the server)
Name: the name of the device for display on-screen in the application
4. Click on Save
5. Log in to the application
Now your device user is created and ready to start receiving data in the application.
