Tags not selected in the event rule are included in the report

Problem

Events of assets not included in tags in the event rule are included in the event report.

On the event rules, step 2 you select to which units the rule will be triggered for live alerts.

The event is filtered only for Asset 1 and 2, but in the report, you see other units that were not included in the event rule step 2.

Cause

Event rule tags apply only to live data events.

Report tags apply to all units selected regardless of the tags selected in the event rule.

Solution

In your report tags parameters, select only the tags that contain the units you want to view in the report.
